a pointless post
Today at work we had a batch of pastries that were undercooked, so I brought one home and stuck it in the oven for twenty minutes and it was THE BEST THING EVER. I hope they underbake one every day so I can do it all the time. YUM.
Amusing things I saw on TV while at the gym this afternoon.
- The gym have subscribed to MTV! And MTV were actually playing music the whole time!
- Unfortunately MTV was also determined to brainwash me with Vanilla Ice. FUCK YOU, MTV.
- Hugo Weaving and his daughter reading poetry on SBS.
- Some show with this guy who looked like a retired rock star showing off his collection of train memorabilia.
Powderfinger tour starts tonight. *cartwheels* Which means ten days until I see them, and Jet, and the Vasco Era. BUT THE TOUR STARTS TONIGHT SO MAYBE THERE WILL BE VIDEOS ON YOUTUBE TOMORROW MORNING ADFADK. I can't remember ever being this excited about a tour that I will only go to one date on. Maaaaaybe the Whitlams' Little Cloud tour in 06 because I'd made friends with a bunch of people from the mailing list, but it's a close one.
And today in politics: The US election is on Melbourne Cup Day? HOW WILL I DECIDE WHICH PARTY TO GO TO? I love the NaNoWriMo Cup Day party, but I need to hang out with hacks on election days.
Oh and apparently the ALP and the Greens are in an informal coalition. I am suprised that this is headline news given Adam Bandt practically announced it on election night. I hear the Pope is Catholic, too.
