Halfast "Red Hal" Gamgee
My father is Halfred of Overhill. I'm the nephew of Hamfast "Gaffer" Gamgee, and, as you rightfully figured, cousin of Samwise Gamgee. I was born May 1, 1372.
People always say to me, "Well, you sure look like a Gamgee, but where did that there red hair come from?" And I'll say, "It's from my mother's side, I reckon" more times than I care to remember.
