He didn't know how long he'd had the hot air balloon finished, which wasn't all that surprising, but the fact he hadn't even tested it out was. It'd been strewn around the side of the Homestead for months now, and was close enough to the firepit that tying the parachute-turned-balloon down and heating the air inside wasn't particularly difficult. It had been kind of hard to keep the torch from lighting the fabric on fire, though, but luckily it was finally inflated enough that he didn't have to hold it up anymore. Glitch's hands were a bit sooty, but that wasn't any worse than they'd been before.

Glitch sat himself down on the upturned wicker basket, watching the "camo" pattern grow larger and larger. He still wasn't exactly sure what that was, but he did know he still preferred the stripey colorful ones he used to make - or thought he used to, at least, but he was pretty sure he'd done that. Mostly. Big balloons with vivid colors and patterns, with actual mechanical bits in them, instead of simple little things like this one had.

The sun was up, the sky was beautiful, and the island was still very...island-y. But DG was here now. If DG and experimenting with a hot air balloon couldn't make an average day a good one, he wasn't quite sure what could.
