You know, I just read a comment somewhere public that read something like this (paraphrased) ....
I thought I might not like that movie, and now that you said you hated it, I know I'll hate it too!
Whatever happened to THINKING FOR YOURSELF?
What about developing your OWN OPINIONS BASED UPON FACTS?
Are you too lazy/stupid/some other excuse to get off your ass, go see the film/read the book, EXPERIENCE IT FIRST-HAND?
You know what? I'd be completely respectful of whatever your opinions were after you did that, but until then, NO, sorry.
And let me be clear that I'm not saying it's inappropriate to discuss ISSUES or CONCEPTS that stem from a book/movie someone has not yet read/seen.
