Feb 19, 2004 00:11

WHAT: "Verbal Intercourse," a spoken-word show created by participants in Laurie McKiernan's Performing Story, Building Community class.
WHERE: Patrick's Cabaret, 3010 Minnehaha Avenue, Minneapolis (just South of Lake St.)
WHEN: Sunday, February 29th (woo-hoo, Leap Day!) at 5:00 p.m.
WHY: Pirates! Seminarians! Patsy Cline! Singing lepers! Did I mention pirates?
HOW MUCH: $0.00

So that everyone can be comfortable, we ask that you please not wear cologne, perfume, or other scented products. Fully accessible.

Yes, it's true; we're at it again. It's been another great couple of months in class, & now we're ready to dazzle you with our stories (well, we will be ready by the 29th). I especially encourage everybody who was at Mac with me (& I'm pointing really specifically at you, malcubed) to try to make this show, 'cause I'm going to be doing a piece called "The Hebrew Word for Tapeworm," which revisits the agony & the ecstasy (but mostly the agony) of my experiences in Macalester's spring '97 production of Hopes of the Living Dead (which you may know as 'that leper play'). It's gonna be a riot. Guaranteed.
