On Tuesday, I biked in the general direction of Minnehaha Park, hooked Aubey to a bus (ran into
beltramgregor while at the bus stop. Can't recall the last time I saw him. He looked...slick. Anyway), and rode into downtown St. Paul. Then I biked on up to work. At the end of the day, I did it in reverse (only not exactly, 'cause I took a different bus route).
I've been saying for months that I was going to do this. The unseasonably warm weather just let me do it a little sooner than anticipated. I'm still tweaking my route, because, honestly, friends don't let friends ride the 21.
On initial review, though, I call this an epic success. I got to ride my bike - to work! I cut my 3-bus commute to a 1-bus commute and shaved, I think, about 10 minutes off the time (the route I'm contemplating for future use should make it even shorter). I have also now (erroneously) convinced a few of my coworkers that I am a hardcore bike zealot, because I could not get it through their distracted heads that I did not ride all the way in from Mipples. Maybe someday...
Anyhoo, that is the story. Bike. Bus. Bike. Work. Repeat. Rawr.
