I wonder if any of this will make sense after I sleep...
Okay, so, I've been toying with the idea of creating a Wild Mass Guessing page on TV Tropes for Princess Tutu for a while. What is a WMG page, you ask? (Or so the voice in my head asks.) Why, a WMG page is a place to both tell others about your wild fanon theories you actually believe in...annnnd some parody ones that you write in a way that (scarily enough) they could maybe make sense! (Also a GREAT place to go if you want a wacky, cracky idea for an AU and/or Crossover fanfic. Chiyo's parents from Azumanga Daioh are actually dead and she just deludes herself into thinking they're really alive? BRILLIANTLY CREEPY!)
Well, so, anyway... I finally made Tutu's. (SPOILER WARNING, just so you know. None of the entries on WMG are spoiler-marked because they assume you've seen everything already.) I added in theories I actually somewhat believe (the Fakir/Rue sibling theory, various theories about Autor's past), some I don't but I've seen in the fandom and found interesting (Malen and Autor are siblings), one I actually don't believe but I made up myself months ago and I'm still fond of it (Ahiru is originally Fakir's character from a story he wrote as a child), one fanon theory that I actually know has been confirmed by "Word Of God"/Itoh-san (Tomoyo's theory about Edel's origin, with proper credit of course--hoopefully I remembered it right)....annnd a couple using running gags from other WMG pages that I thought were funny. (IE, Drosselmeyer is related to Haruhi Suzumiya. Yes THAT one. If I could figure out how to tie in a Evangelion/Doctor Who reference in there, too, I would've.)
And then I came up with one at, like, 4am that seemed really funny to me (again, this was at 4am) so I went for it:
The manga is Autor's "Fix Fic". IE, Autor's writing "the way the story SHOULD HAVE been".
This makes far, far more sense than it should to me. Which could be that I haven't slept at all, but THINK about it! Edel betrayed Drosselmeyer, so she's made the bad guy. And slutty, because he's a horny teenage boy.
Fakir not having any special powers in the manga? He's bitter.
All that extra fanservice? He's a horny teenage boy!
Hints that Ahiru ends up with Mytho instead of Rue? So he can be with Rue, of course!
Most of the homoerotic subtext between Mytho and Fakir mysteriously being gone and replaced by lesbian subtext between Rue and a girl that looks suspiciously like Autor in drag? Autor is a (...arguably) straight horny teenage boy!
I know this is the lack of sleep talking, BUT IT ALL MAKES SENSE IN MY HEAD!
And then, once I added that, I realized if you take the "really weird adaptations being the characters fixing "problems" in the original" to its proper conclusion...
OBVIOUSLY AION IS BEHIND THE ANIME OF CHRONO CRUSADE!
The heroes almost all dying in the end, becoming depressed, or going crazy? AION'S FAULT. Rosette being less badass and easily manipulated by Aion? HIS FAULT, TOO! Aion being far more creepy, badass, and sexually active? AION IS MARY-SUING HIMSELF!

...Right. Anyway. I would like to point out that I don't believe the Autor/Aion/Fridge talking theories, they're all tongue-in-cheek? And, as said before, this'll probably be less hilarious/really weird to me once I sleep. No, I have not slept yet.
