In summary: GOOD WEEK
Mmmm...sorry I've disappeared a lot lately. Got busy with RPing and other things. Boy, do I have a lot to cover...in a nutshell:
-We're going to be moving! We're buying a townhouse down in Littleton. A quick walk from my school, a library, downtown...it's the PERFECT location. Wonderful area, too...me and Mom walked around for a few hours in that area and I just feel...INSPIRED! There's so many little locally-owned boutiques and such. I think I'm going to get a lot of things to decorate my new room from that area, if I can afford it. It's the sort of thing I really like.
(BTW, my new room? I'm going to paint the wall in blue and yellow stripes~)
The deal closes on the 14th, so we'll probably be moving in then. Local friends--stay tuned, we might, herm, borrow you for a decorating project. (A really cool thing for our family/game/movie room--I'll talk about it in another entry, I think.)
-The library right near the townhouse--half a mile away--is hiring. The starting pay for the job? $12.50 an hour! dfygjkljhgf! That's almost twice what I made at my old job! And being a librarian is sort of my DREAM. Among the qualifications was someone with "writing skills" and "an imaginative personality". Well, I got that covered! (I put on my application that I'm an "award-winning, published author"--it's TRUE, I won a contest and was published in a national magazine! XD;) Since the pay is so high, I'm guessing they're not looking for someone with fairly small experience like me, but...well, I volunteered at the library for 3 years! So...I mean, it's really perfect for me. Hopefully they'll think I'm perfect for them, too.
-Sabrina (jupiter_star) invited me to go to Lakeview Amusement park. BEST PLACE I HAD NEVER HEARD ABOUT! XD It's really, really cheap...100 years old....beautiful old place. Her Dad described it as "going back in time", and I agree, it REALLY feels like that. If/When I get the Chrono cosplay done I think I'm going to go there and take some pictures, since it's about the right time frame. I'm really glad I have Sabrina around, too...If it wasn't for her, after Kisa moves, I'd have...nobody. Which is really, really depressing. (...Still sort of depressing, but not AS much.)
Well, and I'd have Kendall, too. But I dunno if he'd just want to hang out with a girl...XD;; I probably shouldn't assume he wouldn't, but....
She also recommended I watch the Tony Awards, which I did. And loved. I think I'm going to get the soundtrack for In The Heights, she played some in her car and it's reeeeally cool. Oh! And you know that music teacher I love, Dr. Hidemi Matsushita? She works with him. AWESOME. (She also said that, apparently, over the summer he started Princess Tutu. VICTORY! I know he'll love it, he's a fan of stuff like Sailor Moon, Saint Tail and Cardcaptor Sakura and used to be a director of a ballet! It's sort of like "Dude, why didn't he watch it before?" ...besides him being, you know, an incredibly busy music instructor.)
-I got a new haircut, waxed my eyebrows, and got some new makeup. It all looks AWESOME! I just feel so much more confident and self-assured with that sort of thing. It makes me very...happy. I really do look pretty when I make an effort. It's a comforting thought. Hopefully I'll have more social confidence next semester at school?
-I've reorganized my icons and am in the process or uploading new ones and replacing old ones on this account. I still have a looooong way to go. (XD I need to replace numbers 30-95....)
-Writing has been...unsuccessful. I think it's safe to say I won't get the first chapter of raven!Fakir started done before mangaka_chan leaves on her trip...which disappoints me. I'll try to get it started and e-mail it to her, maybe....
I also need to get going on the 31_days fics RIGHT AWAY, or I won't get them done in time for Kakkoicon, which I DON'T want to screw up on, because when else will I have the chance?? I'll just have to push myself to do it. And write short short short ones on days I can't get a muse/don't have time.
-I bought End of Evangelion from Sabrina. I actually liked it, for the record. oh, and I've been (...slowly) watching Kaleido Star and reading the NGE manga.
