Yes, I know I just posted, but Patrick posted a meme, and that's a momentous occasion (he needs to POST MOAR), so I'm playing follow the leader.
Comment to this post with a subject for a top five (ships, songs, books, etc) you would like to see my answer. I will post with my answers in a separate entry. Be as specific or as broad as you'd like.

In no particular order (outside "what came to me first":)
1) Yamato "Matt" Ishida from Digimon. He was the first cartoon character I really had it bad for. And I mean really, really bad. As an 12 year old (I think?), I was so crazy for him that I came down with a bad case of Fandumb. I wrote self-insert Mary Sue fics. Oh, the self-inserts. (One of my friends even wrote one where my Mary Sue was married to Matt. Actually, if I remember right it was very, very good. It's a shame good writing had to be wasted on an unabashed Mary Sue.) Not only did I do that, I participated in bashing poor Jun for stalking Matt (Lord knows I'd probably be stalking him too), and when Sora became officially with him...well, between the fact that I was a Taiora fan AND a crazy Matt fangirl...oh, the character hate. The character haaaaate. Not to mention all the fangirls he had. (Actually, I think my tendency to avoid fangirling over popular characters and ships comes out of the Digimon fandom. XD;;;)
That being said, though, could you really blame me for crushing on him? (...Okay, what am I speaking in the past tense for? It makes me feel like a dirty old woman, but I still crush on him.) He's the lone wolf, the gorgeous blond musician with hints of darkness in his personality...it's hard NOT to like him.
2) Fakir from Princess Tutu. He dances. He writes. He's a jerk with a heart of gold. He's got gorgeous long hair. Not to mention he looks pretty darn good in a pair of tights. And to top it off? The one-two punch of Takahiro Sakurai's AND Chris Patton's voice. Guh. Again, can you really blame me? (In case you're starting to sense a theme, yes, I do like the brooding artistic guys with long hair.)
3)Satoshi Hiwatari/Hikari from DNAngel. This is another one that makes me feel like a dirty old lady -- he's 14. HE'S IN MIDDLE SCHOOL. If he was real he'd be so freaking illegal. I BLAME THE MANGAKA FOR DRAWING HIM IN POSES LIKE THAT! But with my affinity for blue...and then, to top it off, he's--say it with me--a loner who struggles with his inner demons. Uniquely, he's not too artistic--that would be his rival Daisuke--but he does come from a family of artists, in a way. I think he was actually the character to start me on my megane bishounen obsession. He was, most definitely, the one that made me crush on Greg Ayres' voice. Stupid sexy Satoshi! (Last NDK, I got a cover with him on it from the DNAngel thinpack signed by Greg Ayres. It's very pretty~)
4) Let's go into American animation for this next one...Robin from Teen Titans. Okay, Japanese-influenced, but it's still American. Again, he's the brooding type--as well as fiercely driven, extremely intelligent, doesn't rely on superpowers (he's the Badass Normal of the group, basically)...Heeee basically falls under my typical "go for the brooding intelligent guy!" thing. (Oddly enough, I DON'T like those sorts of guys IRL as much. Weird, huh? It's just the fictional ones...)
5) I've tried to deny this one in my mind, but I can't-- Alfredo Linguini from Ratatouille. This one is entirely out of left field--he doesn't have long hair, he doesn't really brood, he has no inner demons, and he's not really artistic at all. He's an awkward, goofy, insecure, stuttering, freckled redhead. Actually, he's closer to the sort of guy I usually like IRL. XD (Although since I'm insecure, I should probably find a guy more confident. Two insecure people in a relationship would probably not be good.) I think the fact that an "actual guy"--one of the artists at Pixar--plays him instead of an actor helps. He feels so real.
So yes. There it is. My animated crushes. Some of them, anyway.
