(no subject)
Damnit, I fell behind again.
So I came home on Thursday, hung out with Laura (we christined my new jade bowl "Ju hi". Yossi'll get it. Actually, Yossi thought of it.) Left Friday for my grandmother's house in Teaneck, NJ. Apparently she's moving one of these days, so we got to go all over her house and take stuff we wanted :-D. Took a bus to the city to meet Diana and Tom, who were visiting for the first time (or at least, her first time.) We spent a while wandering around, except the resteraunt we wanted to go to downtown was packed, so we ended up eating pizza in some little place at like, 9:45, and then headed over to the Knitting Factory to see some band that Diana and Tom liked. I never got to see them, cause I had to catch a bus back, but I caught two bands before them; this ska-ish kind of band called Outernational who were actually pretty cool, and this other band, who's name I don't remember but were sorta neo-folky... like a cross between Belle & Sebastian, Leonard Cohen, and the Meat Puppets...very cool stuff.
And then I go back tonight, and vacation is over.
I'm excited. I really am. There was a brief period where I really didn't want to go back to school, but now I'm psyched again. I think I'm gonna take Intro to Anthropology, which I think someone told me was pretty easy. Maybe Kerri? Anyway, the point is, I think I'm gonna have another good semester.
Thing is, I don't feel like I've had a vacation at all these past three weeks. I had an absolutely amazing time in Hong Kong, but I was busy the whole time -- I barely got a chance to just sit and hang out. I didn't ever sleep till 3pm, or spend a whole day without getting dressed -- didn't get stoned except for once, when I came back. Pretty much yesterday and today were my only days to actually relax and well... it's not enough.
Whatever, though. It was worth it.
Oh, and what the hell do I sing for Pam Wolfe on Wednesday?? I've got nothing!
