Wonderings on Wanderings
Last night was rough. After a VERY shitty couple of weeks I drank more than I really should have and ended up feeling like crap today as all of the stress from the last week of Summer Session I finally caught up with me. But it was great to drink with other people who were just as fed up with life as I am. So a big thanks to Jason for hosting such a night of drunken debauchery. I saw Cian last night as well. I don't think anyone who reads this would know him, but he was the really hot guy I met when I first moved into the dorms and then made out with for three weeks straight. He was working the night shift at Circle K on Lake and Covell. It took me back as he was an engineering student like me and was now all scruffy and looked like a drop-out. It really threw me for a loop. I'm not sure Cian recognized me, but that's okay.
Also, I had a moment of clarity last night. I'm going to quit my new job and go back to Unitrans. Well, technically I've never left, but I did stop driving. Shannon made a comment to me about the fact that you should never work for a boss you hate. That combine with the fact that I am not getting paid what I'm worth and made more money at Unitrans pushed me to the edge. So I then drunk dialed Tim (sorry!) and asked about coming back. He told me to talk to Scott, so I think I am going to do that on Monday and depending on how well that goes turn in my two weeks at the gallery. I can't live and work like this for a full year. I can't stand being depressed about a job I hate. I also am going to go wheel and deal with Pam and Dustie and see about getting the one bedroom they have available either at a reduced rate or for only Fall quarter. I feel as though I am having a quarter-life crisis and need to think and figure things about before I move or make any other drastic changes. But one thing I have determined is that I need to get out of the valley and sooner rather than later.
