(no subject)

so this is going to be short so i can update it later (i have to be somewhere in 10 minutes). But lately i've kinda just been thinking..'what the hell am i doing out in missouri?' its seriously just like, I LOVE CALIFORNIA!!! && Missouri is sooo much different than what I am used to..and in a way I know I am getting a much more fulfilling college experience than people who just stayed in cali (not that there is anything wrong with that!) but I am just getting to do the adjustment to location and college..and it is just very different.
I was walking through the quad today and it was just absolutely beautiful. I am so fortunate to go to such a beautiful school and have all of these opportunities. The trees were all changing colors, the sun was shinging reallllly bright and the tall and just very collegiate buildings were making me feel very grown up. Then I just stopped to sit on one of the columns and I was just thinking about how I am a student in the best and most competetive journalism school in our country, and possibly the world. I have the most amazing opportunity to follow my passion and study journalism. So even though I am not in California, my comfort zone..I am pushing my limits and truly loving each day.
More sad update, my uncle passed away yesterday. completely unexpectedly. It was pretty sad to hear and I don't have enough time to fill in details, but I will be going to Arizona this weekend for the funeral. I just feel absolutely empty inside.
