Wowee.

I don't celebrate Christmas, but the holidays are really somethin'.

First, never listen to the ads telling you about New Year's sales at the mall. Looking around for anew coat and shoes yesterday was like searching for a needle in a bloody haystack - never found what I wanted, and got a head ache just looking at the fricking sales.

Second...well, this happened before 'first', but anyway - because the holidays coincided with Eid al-Adha, I got a gift from sis. Two, actually: a spider bracelet from Black Rose (kinda like Oasis Market in town, but with more merch and clothes) with crystals in the back of each arachnid...oh man, unf. ♥  It goes well, with my spiked bracelet from OM, which freaks out my cousin's sister-in-law (technically my cousin-in-law, now?) but amuses my cousin's father-in-law (my uncle-in-law?) to no end. He likes to joke that it's designed for defense, ha ha...

And a small bag of rock candy, from Japan. Tastes nice, and the bright colours are cute. They're made to look like flower patterns, on each piece.

Third, I finally got
pax_athena's gift in the mail today. The post office had taken a few days off around Christmas and Boxing Day, so we didn't get our mail until this morning. Thanks, hon. I think cherry chilli is becoming my favourite, too (and I've only had it for the first time!) It really works, as a filling in dark chocolate ♥

Nothing else to talk about...except the weather is the same as usual (wet and windy...what else is new?)

And it's nice to see this video again.

I think I'll always love 'Ain't Afraid to Die'. It's a beautifully written and performed song, if you ask me.. they said Akuro no Oka wasn't a sequel to it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was, somehow.
