Out of touch
This afternoon, the ground literally opened up and our stubby little green phone box/pole fell into the abyss. Ekk managed to shovel it out enough to see the top, and it's pretty damned impressive. There's a hell of a hole out there. I guess the running water from 5+ feet of melting-off snow finally undercut it entirely. We have internet, but no phone. Weird. If I had to pick between the two, though, this is the way I prefer it.
The weather is being really weird - gorgeous and sunny one minute, grey and snowing/sleeting the next. The dogs are hiding in the hay shed, and I don't blame them. The world feels like it's holding its breath. We are all waiting for spring.
