I'm thinking of taking some video clips of around here to prove I'm neither exaggerating nor making anything up; kind of "A Day in the Life" sort of thing. I figure I'll take two or three minutes of digital video on my camera (of things like Ekk at the forge, swivel gun practice, and how to cook dinner on the woodstove) and put it up on YouTube when it's done. However, I don't know have any sort of video editing program to splice together the clips I take into one coherent film.
Any advice? What's a good simple and free program for the total novice?
EDIT/POSTSCRIPT: I may be online only intermittently till the weather dries out - we have a leak in the phone line's casing, and when the groundwater levels get above a certain point, the internet and phone get flaky.
