The bathroom remodel is complete. So far everyone who has seen it has loved it. It seems like it took forever, but really it was only a month. I feel a great sense of accomplishment. I guess I wont bore people anymore with rambling on about my bathroom other than to say that old clawfoot tubs are the best thing ever! Other news in my life, is that I am now a runner. I am up to an hour every other day. This sunday I will be going down to Salem with my mother-in-law, who is a marathon runner herself, and will be attending a one day class with running olympian Jeff Galloway. I finally got a good pair of running shoes in anticipation (Asic GT-2100). They have fabulous cushoining, and rigid foot support, which are both good things for me because I come down very heavy on my heels, which is jarring, and causes my arches to flatten out with each step. I also slightly overpronate. By the way, if you are in Portland and want to buy a good pair of running shoes, go the the portland running company on Grand, and not the one in Beaverton. The people at the downtown store spent a lot of time talking with me and trying a lot of different shoes, and studying my stride. The Beaverton staff just seemed to want to get rid of me. Any way, i am pleased with the new shoes, and I think that they will serve me well.
