Well, well, well...yesterday it reached 111 degrees in good ol' Boise, Idaho. It may have gotten even hotter than that, but I just happened to notice a weather sign at about 6 in the evening displaying this wonderful information. Mmmm...nice and warm...
Well, yesterday I woke up bright and early at 12 noon and Ben and I went to Hogi Yogi for lunch then went to Toys R Us to buy Cassidi a present for her 4th birthday. Wow, the workers at Toys R Us are awful...we were asked about 8 times if we were finding everything okay. It was so annoying. And we were only in the store for about 15 minutes, too....crazy!
Then later we went grocery shopping and I made beef strogonoff to bring to the potluck. Then after the potluck it was time for music practice...which was horrible. First of all, we were in a building with no air conditioning which was torture in that kind of heat. Maybe it was the heat that was making everyone so irritable. Michelle was really making me frustrated. It's always her way or the highway. I love Ellen to death, but even she was getting on my nerves. As soon as music practice was over, I just left without staying around and chatting or even saying goodbye to anyone. But engough about that.
On to happier news...
On Sunday Ben and I went to Boondocks and we had some fun in the batting cages...I did softball and I hit almost every single one! (You get 24 balls.) Then we played some miniature golf. Ben beat me, but that's okay. He whipped my butt the first 9 holes, but on the second 9 holes I gave him a run for his money. :) Then we went bowling. We played two games and I beat him both times...aww yeah. :) Then we played a couple of games of pool...he won.
We had so much fun, on Tuesday we went to the SUB at BSU and played some more pool and then some more bowling. One of the times we played pool, I actually won! Then when we bowled I bowled a 152 the first game, which is the highest score I have ever gotten. (My previous record was 144, I think.) I beat Ben by a lot that game, and I was on a roll because the next game I got four strikes in a row, and set a new record: 161! Whooping Ben was awesome. :) Good thing he's not a poor loser like me...haha.
Wow...in a month I'll be in school and I will be working three days a week instead of five...and no night shifts! Yippee!!! I can't wait! I can't wait to move in our house, either.
Well...until next time, folks. :)
