My picture...and stuff
I have finally put a picture up on LJ. It's about time, huh? Well, I never knew how to do it, but Ben did so he put it on there for me.
In other news, I got my first ticket yesterday. :( I was doing so well, four and a half years of driving and no tickets! But I uh...I ran a red light. Oops! Well, I was a bit distracted because I got a phone call as I was approaching a stop light at 55 mph (10 over the speed limit), and as I looked down to answer my phone the light had turned yellow. I started to slow down, but decided to floor it and go through, hoping the light wouldn't turn red yet. If I thought I would have had enough time to stop, I would have, but it didn't seem like I did. Then I got pulled over and the cop was surprisingly very nice to me, probably because I was all nervous and sheepish & stuff....but he still gave me a ticket. So now I have to pay $53 for my ticket. It sucks. Oh well. I'm lucky I didn't get a ticket for speeding, too. I think that was nice of the cop. He was actually being quite fair because everyone driving on that road was going about 55 mph also, so why should I get a speeding ticket when he knew they were all speeding and got off scott free?
Anyway, I'm lucky. It could've gone worse.
Father's day is coming! Happy father's day to my daddy. I'm going out on his boat with him tomorrow, along with Ben and my sisters, after I get off work. I only work 12-4 tomorrow. Nice, since I had today off and have Sunday off, too.
Oh yeah! I made cookies today! Good fattening ones. :) I used a recipe for chocolate chip cookies, except I didn't use any chocolate chips. Instead, I put a Hershey's kiss in the center of each one. They turned out really good! Ben really loved them, too.
Well, I better go get ready for bed and wash my work clothes. TTFN (hehe, I'm a dork.)
