A/N i didn't hear of a party, okay! so i made one up.
“Congratulations,” Jiyeon says. Hyomin, trying to keep their spot in the line, looks over to her.
“Congratulations for what?” Hyomin says, and before Jiyeon can throw her head back and laugh, she hurriedly remembers the CEO asking her to come up to the office. “Oh, right. For becoming the leader.”
“I guess people forget things that happen overnight,” Jiyeon laughs. Hyomin purses her lips and shoves Jiyeon’s arm, but her hand latches onto it. And her fingers linger, but Jiyeon’s staring straight ahead into the back of people’s heads. She’s not wearing a jacket or a long-sleeved shirt, though.
“Why am I treating you? Shouldn’t you be paying, follower?” Hyomin says, after the ticket lady slides what’s rightfully theirs through the space bulletproof glass doesn’t cover.
“Um, sorry? It’s in your contract to spoil the youngest. Read the fine print.”
“You!” As soon as they’re leading themselves into the dark movie theater, there are only sounds, no sights. Hyomin presses her sweating soda drink against Jiyeon’s arm, and the other girl shrieks.
“You suck at this,” Jiyeon says when they sit down. The commercial shows on their faces, and she poorly tries to take back her smile that’s outlined by the light.
“No, I don’t. I’ve been doing this forever,” Hyomin grins. “Have I always been leader to you?”
“No, but you’ve always been-”
Soft hands pull her wrist and Hyomin’s head is pulled closely to Jiyeon's face. Jiyeon’s whisper is high and scratchy, and her breath is warm against Hyomin’s ear.
“Oh,” Hyomin says, after Jiyeon spaces away from her. “Are you saying that because you want food?”
“It’s all true!” Jiyeon whispers a little too loudly that even someone behind them grumbles. They shut up, turn off their cellphones and about the who-gets-the-armrest-dilemma, they link arms.
