It's been quite a while!
Well gosh, I haven't updated here since over a year ago when I needed to bitch. Am I bitching this time? Naw, I decided to put something up that doesn't require bitching.
So what has been happening here? Well, to start, I graduated!!!!!! I am now a college graduate, but due to the lack of job opportunities and calls for interviews, I'm going back to school for a whole new career field: electrical engineering. I know, it's practically the complete opposite side of the spectrum when compared to elementary teaching, but I have confidence in myself that I never had when I graduated high school. Also...I'm pretty freakin' smart and am more knowledgeable on the use of a semi-colon now...yes! But that doesn't mean all of my grammar in blog posts will be spot on...just a little more easy to read (maybe).
Outside of school, I've started up an actual YouTube channel that produces weekly videos! I finally decided to make weekly book reviews, which means that I must read a book each week. And I'm loving it! I didn't make a video for two weeks this past holiday though because I got busy and easily distracted by a new piece in my life (will explain later). But, I'm currently under partnership with YouTube to earn revenue on my videos, which is great because I'm hoping I can use the money towards school since I'm having to pay all of it this time around. Now I just have to focus on good grades to earn scholarships :D
So, what is the most recent distraction in my life? One word: boyfriend! That's right, I have a boyfriend again. Sorta like Travis, this relationship just sorta happened, haha. But so far, Jonathan (yes that's his name, so feel privileged) is a good fit for me. We talk, hang out, watch videos on YouTube, and enjoy each other's company. Now, no jokes, but he is also one of my managers, but I won't be getting any promotions or raises (bummer, haha). Anyway, we've been together for about three weeks now and are just enjoying the time. His birthday is this upcoming Sunday, so I need to figure out what to get him (actually, I already have one of his presents, the second I'm waiting on to make sure he doesn't randomly buy it during the week, and the third I'm letting him choose.
Yup, so now I have something that is less whining and more ecstatic, haha. Jonathan made plans to take me to the fondue restaurant at the top of Keystone this Friday (since he works at the resort he gets a discount and has never been there. Win win in my case, haha [I've never understood the idea of women thinking it bad if a guy takes advantage of cheaper prices. So what, he's saving money...it's not a reflection of how much he thinks you're worth because that's just putting a price tag on a person and saying that people can be bought...lame]). But I got to meet one of his friends last night...first one actually because everyone else we've hung around already know us as individuals since we work with those people, haha. So she was pretty nice and quickly bonded when she found out my mom owns the bead store, lol.
What else? I got a new fish. Last you probably knew, I had my betta Piceous and possibly my snail Marcus. Well, this past Thanksgiving Marcus passed on due to age, and then I put Piceous down the day after Christmas because he was not getting any better with the medicine I was giving him. So, I got a new snail and named him Snip. Then I just got a new betta and named him Apollo. As soon as I get pictures I'll try and post them over here. Additionally, this past Spring I got a new pet! I now have a pleco by the name of Dante, haha.
Well, off to count stuff; Mom is letting me stay home and work today, woot!
