Bonifacio High Street is generally outside my sphere of usual hangouts, hence, the Fully Booked branch located there held an almost mythical quality.
Until today.
My sister's office moved to The Fort a couple of months ago and she's become quite familliar with the place. Today we went to High Street and visited the four-floored Fully Booked. I've added it to my list of happy places. It has all my favorite things: books, music, film and coffee. A lot of people go to the spa to unwind, for me, I think you could just leave me there on a bad day to cheer me up. What I loved most about it is that I saw titles that have disappeared from other stores and titles that I haven't seen at all. I could spend all day just browsing.
I love reading, but I admit I'm a poor judge when it comes to scouting new books. For that, I rely on the recommendations of my sister and some of my friends.
I could tune out the rest of the world if I had a good book in my hands. Work's been such a pain lately though that I've progressed very slowly on my book list.
Reading is an escape. It's alone time. It's "me" time. I think I'll go get some of that right now.
