YAAAAY! I PLAYED BRAAAWL! So yeah, I went with Cory to E for All in LA. It was really fun, even though all we did was alternate between Guitar Hero III and Brawl. XD So yeah, enough about the other stuff, here is the dirt about 3 new characters appearing in Brawl. X3
Meta Knight - The only word I can think to describe him as is cheap. Seriously, even playing as him is slightly frustrating because there's no challenge or skill involved. He pretty much is like Kirby...only he has a sword, which he can slash like, 50 times in 2 sec, making it very hard not to get hit once he starts going. He can also glide, jump 5 times and his up-b pretty much always gets him back to the stage if the 5 jumps didn't get you back.
Final Smash: He whips out his cape, and makes the screen go dark. Next thing you know, you've been slashed, and more than likely killed. Like I said, cheap. (You must be very close to a character for this to work.)
Ike - Unlike Meta Knight, Ike is good without being cheap. He moves very much like a mix between Roy and Link. He has a lot of the same moves as Marth/Roy, only stronger and slower. That's another thing: Ike is slow. Like, he's probably only a half step up from Bowser, which will make Marth/Roy fans have to adjust in case the want to keep FE characters their main. But where he lacks in speed, he certainly makes up for it in brute strength. Seriously, people fly off the screen at 100% if Ike gets his hands (er, sword) on them.
Final Smash: Sadly, I didn't get a chance to use it, but I saw other people. It seems that his final smash is a lot like Link's. He smacks you up in the air and slashes at you repeatedly, before sending you crashing down. (I assume you have to be near someone >_>)
Sonic - Sega's superstar has finally joined Brawl, and he is absolutely amazing. His speed is unrivaled, and can string combos longer than I've ever seen. He is surprisingly easy to handle, and doesn't go spin-dashing off the stage like Yoshi's egg-roll. His only weakness is also sort of a strength. Sonic is weak. Like, really weak. He has pretty much no strong moves, so going for the kill might be a little difficult. So you might be asking, "How the fuck is that a strength?!". Well, his rather weak power really promotes mastering him, instead of playing as him every now and again. And luckily, his speed lets him quickly grab items to use until you master him.
Final Smash: Sonic gathers all of the Chaos Emeralds and turns into Super Sonic! You get to control him as he takes flight, and allows you to run into people, cause tons of damage. It's a tiny bit difficult to control in such a hectic game, but still works beautifully. (You don't have to be any where in particular)
Overall Favorite - Sonic. Come on, he's awesome.
