There are startlingly few roleplaying games that focus on continental Europe. Even fewer if we narrow the field to post-WWII.
That's a shame, I think.
(Similarly there ought to be more rpg settings inspired by or dealing with India, but that's another story).
Actually detailing settings may be a bit old-school these days, but most rpgs that aren't laser-focused story games need some kind of background, and there is such a wealth
(Also, imagine a Victorian game that gave Vienna the kind of attention London always gets. smack dab in the middle of the awesome mess that was the Austro-Hungarian Empire. It'd be awesome, guv'nor. Yet another story
Ok, I have an idea. As you well know, getting them isn't really the problem as much as doing something with them. Hence I'm gonna write about it, in the hope that it'll shame me out of laziness.
The basic idea is that the European Union needs a counter-occult agency, a joint venture to keep the magic men, the fair folk and the monsters at bay. Nothing in the EU is simple though, and bureaucracy, history and old mistrust stand in the way of a truly well-functioning agency.
Right now there are just a few bright and capable people (burnouts, weirdos and disposable assets), cutting edge facilities (a basement somewhere in Strasbourg), and the whole teetering Union.
And the Doom Clock.
