Thing 1: Horseback riding continues to be AWESOME. It is quite possibly the best thing I've ever decided to do. Right up there with the day I started writing and the day I went back to school. Yes, horses aren't a cheap hobby. Is it just the price of the lessons? Or are they making you own your own tack?

I do not have to own my own tack, thank goodness, although I notice some do -- don't know of that's possibly because they're riding their own horse or not. Some do bring their own tack. So yeah, right it's just the lessons, and apparrel and accessories.
