Quinn honestly couldn't be happier to be moving the summer after junior year. She wanted to get away from all her problems, all her old 'friends', away from her exes and just try and move on. With her parents getting back together, it just made her life that much worse and she ended up rebelling. Her way of rebelling was going from the innocent ( Read more... )

Being an eternal occupant of the house since 1994 Tate was always curious about the new people moving into the house that was once his home. Before the Fabray family moved in it belonged a a gay couple, A couple that he'd killed when they'd decided they were no longer going to have a babyAfter that the house had been on the market for a long, long time and he'd watched people wander in and wander back out, but now a family had actually brought the house that came with a horrible history it had sparked his curiosity further. He'd been debating with himself since the sale went through of how he was going to reveal himself without also revealing that he was in fact dead. Eventually he'd reluctantly asked his mother for help without actually explaining why he needed it ( ... )

Quinn turned fully to look at the voice, a faint chuckle coming from her as she flicked the ash from the end of her cigarette. "Yeah, so I've heard. Doesn't really bother me though," she gave a lazy shrug and glanced back into the house before back at him. "Plus, it pisses my parents off. So, there's always an upside to the whole killing me slowly thing." Which was the number one reason she had started to smoke to begin with. It helped that her parents treated her somewhat horribly and it was her way to get back at them.

His tone was sarcastic, but he didn't mean it in a hurtful way. "So you're a rebel then?"

Tate's head tilted a little in thought. He wasn't fond of his parents either, his mother in particular and his method of getting back at her was by shutting her out completely and never conforming to the perfect son that she'd always desired. "You know, if you wanted to annoy them further you could smoke pot instead." he suggested.

She smirked a little bit, even if he sounded sarcastic about it. "Yeah, something like that."

Her features quickly turned amused though and she took a few steps closer in his direction. "That's true, but unless you happen to have some on you or know someone who has some, I'm kind of shit outta luck, aren't I?"

"We'll scare him. Just trust me." he insisted.

"Scare him? That'll be a tough job, but sure. If you can scare him I'll definitely owe you," she smirked and pulled her cellphone out. She at least got enough reception in the basement to place the call. She let it ring a few times before he was answering. "Hey Puck, what are you doing?" she listened to him talk before she interrupted him. "Yeah, lifting weights. Awesome. Whatever. Want to come to my new house tonight? I kind of changed over the summer and was wondering if you wanted to come over and have sex? Yeah? Alright, see you in about half an hour," and she hung, giving Tate an amused look. "He's on his way."

"Then we'd better get prepared." he smirked.

"And exactly how are we going to get prepared to scare him? I don't think the whole 'boo' you tried on me is going to work," she said softly as she pushed herself up to stand.

Tate just shook his head as he sprawled out on the couch. Had he been allowed to upgrade from arm chair to couch? Who knows, but he'd moved now and he was comfortable. Tucking his arms behind his head he started to speak. "I found a way to cope with the dreams without taking those pills."

Her dad sighed and set the pen he was holding down onto the notepad. "Oh? And what way is that?"

Her dad let out a faint chuckle and started to scribble down onto the notepad. "And you do this often? To help with the dreams?"

A couple of days had passed since Tate had last seen Quinn. He'd be banned from his therapy sessions due to his inappropriate behavior and Quinn's dad had told that to his mom which sucked. So he'd just kept himself hidden and it was boring, luckily Halloween was coming up which was the one day of the day of the year which allowed him to roam about anywhere he pleased so he'd been conducting a plan to get Quinn to go out with him.

Quinn had actually missed Tate, a little more than she thought she would. It was obvious to her that she had quickly become attached to him because she felt like someone finally, at the very least, got her. Part of her wondered though - because she was a girl - if Tate even found her attractive. She was used to boys trying to kiss her, or they would say certain things that hinted it, but not Tate. She could tell he was different though. A different she liked. So two days without him was lonely. She dealt with school, by just cruising through and avoiding anyone and everyone. She used to be on the other end, used to be popular, so she knew how to avoid all of that drama. She just kept to herself. With Halloween coming up, kids were pulling pranks like crazy though, so one day coming home from school, she threw her messenger bag down near the front door and went up to her room, more than annoyed at the day she had. It didn't help that her parents came in and got disappointed when she said she wasn't dressing up for Halloween and that ( ... )

When Tate saw that she'd come home from school he went outside and searched around the garden for a couple of small pebbles, eventually he found a couple then he wandered over to her window. Now that he wasn't allowed to be seen anymore he couldn't just walk into the house and say he'd just had a session so he just hoped that Quinn was stuck in her room. Pulling he arm back he tossed the pebbles at her door. They both made a clink noise then he stood and waited to see if she was home alone or just stuck in her room.

She was sitting on her bed with a book when she heard a couple clinks against her window. Raising an eyebrow, she got up and set her book aside, going to her window and that's when she saw Tate. A small smile curved her lips as she opened the window. "Trying to give a try at Romeo?" She asked with a light, teasing tone.

"Was I something I said?" he asked quietly as he lay down, facing away from her.

"No, it wasn't something you said," she said softly and she moved to lay behind him, loosely wrapping an arm around him and pressing a kiss to his head.
