Quinn honestly couldn't be happier to be moving the summer after junior year. She wanted to get away from all her problems, all her old 'friends', away from her exes and just try and move on. With her parents getting back together, it just made her life that much worse and she ended up rebelling. Her way of rebelling was going from the innocent ( Read more... )

Being an eternal occupant of the house since 1994 Tate was always curious about the new people moving into the house that was once his home. Before the Fabray family moved in it belonged a a gay couple, A couple that he'd killed when they'd decided they were no longer going to have a babyAfter that the house had been on the market for a long, long time and he'd watched people wander in and wander back out, but now a family had actually brought the house that came with a horrible history it had sparked his curiosity further. He'd been debating with himself since the sale went through of how he was going to reveal himself without also revealing that he was in fact dead. Eventually he'd reluctantly asked his mother for help without actually explaining why he needed it ( ... )

Quinn turned fully to look at the voice, a faint chuckle coming from her as she flicked the ash from the end of her cigarette. "Yeah, so I've heard. Doesn't really bother me though," she gave a lazy shrug and glanced back into the house before back at him. "Plus, it pisses my parents off. So, there's always an upside to the whole killing me slowly thing." Which was the number one reason she had started to smoke to begin with. It helped that her parents treated her somewhat horribly and it was her way to get back at them.

His tone was sarcastic, but he didn't mean it in a hurtful way. "So you're a rebel then?"

Tate's head tilted a little in thought. He wasn't fond of his parents either, his mother in particular and his method of getting back at her was by shutting her out completely and never conforming to the perfect son that she'd always desired. "You know, if you wanted to annoy them further you could smoke pot instead." he suggested.

She smirked a little bit, even if he sounded sarcastic about it. "Yeah, something like that."

Her features quickly turned amused though and she took a few steps closer in his direction. "That's true, but unless you happen to have some on you or know someone who has some, I'm kind of shit outta luck, aren't I?"

"I could get you some?" he offered as his hands slid into his pockets.

Tate had no idea how he could get some seeing as he couldn't leave the premisses, but if that's what she wanted he'd find a way to do as she asked. He couldn't quite explain it, maybe it was one of his many complexes, but he always like to appease the women of the house and this girl was going to one of the new occupants of the house so that now included her.

She arched an eyebrow while that smirk of hers grew even wider. "Really? You just met me and you'd already do something completely illegal for me? I find that oddly sweet," she laughed quietly before taking another drag off her cigarette.

He nodded before explaining, "It's not like the cops will find out, unless you tell. Which you won't."

"Huh. So sure about that?" She flashed a brief smirk before she dropped her cigarette to the ground and put it out with the heel of her knee length boots. "I guess if you're going to do that for me, I should at least know your name. I'm Quinn."

"Tate." he replied with a smile. "I'll meet you in the basement of the house when I have it."

It wouldn't be hard to get inside the house seeing as he lived there, but the basement seemed the easiest place to meet...as long as the other ghosts didn't start to show up and cause a scene.

"Like the name, it's different," she smiled, a real genuine smile which most people didn't often get. "Alright, basement it is," she wasn't even going to question how he'd get down there. She rarely questioned anything now. She just lived her life how she wanted and went along with the flow.

She was going to say something else, but they were interrupted by her mother yelling for her from inside the house. If her mom knew anyone was outside, she wouldn't have used such.. vulgar names to call for Quinn, but nevertheless, she had. Quinn rolled her eyes, clicking her tongue against her teeth to calm herself. "I gotta go. See you later, Tate," and with that she turned and headed inside.

Tate wasn't surprised by the names that'd she been called. He'd been called just about every curse word under the sun and worse. He considered saying something else, but instead he just kept silent and sauntered off, fading into thin air.

He stayed invisible for the entire day which was boring. After a while he started to tap objects in the house to startle Quinn's parents which amused him for a while then as it went dusk outside he wandered out to the front yard and waited until a group of kids passed by the railings. After he'd yelled them over he tried his luck at asking if they could hook him up and luckily they could. Tate paid for the drugs then he made his way back into the house to wait around in the basement.

Quinn stayed in her new bedroom most of the day before leaving for a couple hours to just get out and away from them. She didn't care if she was back before dark, but where she had been had gotten boring, so she came home and heard her parents arguing in their bedroom. Sighing, she glanced at the time and decided if Tate did find some weed, he might already be in the basement. God knows with her parents arguing like that, they wouldn't hear him if he got into the house. She went to the basement door and open it, glancing down. Basements were always so damn creepy and their new basement seriously looked like something out of a horror movie.

Steeling her nerves, she opened the door wider and her heels tapped against the stairs as she made her way down, whispering for him. "Tate? Tate, are you down here?"

Tate clung to the shadows, watching her move down the stairs. It was probably a bad idea, but he wanted to see if he could scare her and maybe if she was as tough as she acted she wouldn't get scared at all. Silently he crept along the wall and hid around one of the sides, peeping through a few cracked bricks in the wall so he could determine which way she would go once she reached the bottom step.

Quinn didn't hear anything and assumed maybe he hadn't found anything or just hadn't gotten there yet. Reaching the floor of the basement, she ran a hand through her pink hair before she started moving to the right, heels clicking against the floor as she moved to look around. She hummed to herself quietly, giving herself some kind of noise to focus on as she walked around carelessly.

Following closely behind Tate waited until she'd walked into the end room then his fingers went to the light switch, which began to flicker. "Boo." he chuckled.

Quinn's heart jumped just a little in her chest, but her body stayed still as she slowly turned to smirk at him. "Cute, really," she moved over to stand in front of him, green eyes looking up at him. "So, I'm assuming since you're down here, you got some?"
