Finally! Done with a ton of homework. Everything that was due tomorrow (a lot) and everything that was due Friday (a lot) I had to finish tonight, because tomorrow I'm leaving for Dandong!
Foreign Objects - Episode 5 <--Austin and Nick's Dandong episode
Midori started acting really weird around me last week, and I didn't really understand why. Shin talked to me later, and apparently I once said that it was bad that the Japanese invaded South Korea, and she thought I meant that all Japanese people were bad? What? So now she doesn't even talk to me because she thinks I hate her, and I can't find a time to talk to her and be like "why do you think I hate you?", because she avoids me. It's really weird.
Also, regarding Shin, she's really cool. Although I've had two revelations about her last week. First, suddenly during lunch, she started talking about Japan and America and how she hated them (the Chinese word she used was 讨厌 = to despise), and ok? Like, she tries not to even buy things made in either country. But she still likes me, so that's good. Then on Friday I found out something else. For 3 months I thought Shin was 23 years old. She looked a little older than that, but someone told me she was 23, so I believed them. On Friday she tells me she's 37. 37! I've been hanging out with someone in my parents' league for the past few months! So weird. She's still really great though, and I'm glad she's here.
Why do Chinese people always want to know what I'm holding?
My clothes smell weird - I could really go for a dryer.
China, come on, don't put Thousand Island salad dressing on my potato salad.
I want to buy a tailored suit.
I don't have to take any finals, because they're in January!
