I now have less than a month.
Work hard; no regrets.
Oh yeah, I'm feeling great!

She was swearing at you!
我: What? She was?
老白人: I have no idea.
服务员:我们讨论他的公司。

Midori, WonJiye, Shin, Manuel, and I want to go to Dalian and Dandong from Wednesday night to Sunday (we would only miss one day of school, since we have no class on Thursdays).  Dalian is the beautiful beach city in the north (Manchuria) that's well known for being very clean compared to other Chinese cities, and Dandong is where Austin and Nick went, where you can climb the very end (the end!) of the Great Wall, feed tigers, and see North Korea.  If I can scrounge up the money, I'm going.

Oh, and Thanksgiving (感恩节) was on Thursday.  Shanna, Leanna, and I got together and made salad, mashed potatoes, pasta, croissants (well, those were pre-packaged), and hard-boiled eggs, and watched TV in my room while eating.  It doesn't compare to last year's Thanksgiving fiesta in Japan, and it especially doesn't compare to home, but I was still glad we got to celebrate in some way.

Last thing: I traced my family all the way back to Charlemagne (including all the other royal people, like King John, King Alfred the Great, etc.).  From Charlemagne is a fairly probable line that goes all the way back to a Roman Senator named Flavius Aflranius Syragrius, circa 300 AD in the Roman Empire.  Since 476 AD is the official cutoff for using the word "ancient", I guess that would make my family ancient.  Although proving a descent all the way to ancient times is near impossible (because of the loss of records after the fall of the Roman Empire), the Roman Senator-Charlemagne line is one of the best possibilities considered by genealogists.  I guess that means that I have officially finished my great grandmother's line!  Now to work on the "Hajek" line.
