Well, we're down to less than 24 hours. Let's look at this little shindig, shall we?
*I've never autocratted an event before. I'm not an organized person. And I'm the one in charge.
*I've never been to an SCA equestrian event before. I've run three games one to three times each at practices.
*This event was put together in, essentially, a matter of weeks. Nothing like bringing a kingdom marshal down from Michigan for a last-minute event.
*I've never taken Aziza to an event. I've never taken Aziza anywhere.
*Apart from my "test drive" in Blackwatch's pasture, I've never ridden Aziza away from home. I've only ridden her maybe half a dozen or eight times since I got her. I'm riding her for the pattern portion of the authorization process.
*I've never attempted to authorize before. I'll be attempting to authorize advanced my first time out so I can apply to marshal training, because there are no marshals in the Midlands.
*My health, sigh. It sucks. 'Nuff said. :) As long as I make it through tomorrow without a Pyrates Royale-type repeat, I'll be satisfied.
I figure if we don't have to call any EMTs or vets tomorrow, the thing's a success. Kelly at Gateway keeps talking about making it a regular event. I just want to get through the first one. :)
So-- like so many other things in my life, let's just dive in at the deep end and see how it goes!
