Just a few updates....

The model horse special runs: Cindy liked both of my prototypes too well to decide on one, so she's taking them BOTH to Breyerfest and letting customers/Lakeshore fans vote on which one to add to the line now-- which of course will leave it open for the other to join the line in the future. I also did a quick-and-dirty mock up of another color just to show her and she loved it, too. But we're getting past the first one before I start a second whole run. It's very nice, though, to think I'm not going to be a "one shot wonder" at this.

We're officially saving up a stud fee for Aziza and Amentaah foal #1. :) Sorting through potential sires is enjoyable and frustrating-- frustrating in the sense that, even if the pedigree is superb and the guy's conformation outstanding, you can't know for sure what your results will be; but enjoyable, 'cause heck, you get to look at photos of all kinds of purty horsies and *dream* about what the outcome could be. :)

SCA: Eeep! Our equestrian event is only two weeks away-- LESS than two weeks away. If everyone shows up who says they will, we'll have about 14 riders. Normally I wouldn't expect anything close to 100% attendance by interested parties, but horse people are a rabid lot...if there's a chance to get tossed or slobbered on, they'll stand in line, as a rule. I think we may actually see 10 or more riders there. It scares me. :P And yes, I do make a habit of running at things headlong-- as Gary says, if you're going to make a scene, BE scene. (Translation: if you're going to screw up autocratting an event, make it spectacular.) I don't know for certain how many horses will be there, but if we can get her Coggins results back in time, Aziza will-- I'll be using her for the riding pattern portion of the authorization process. Heaven help us.
