I didn't think that I'd like the version of "Lost!" with the Jay-Z rap mixed into it, but I do. Huzzah!
Thanksgiving went rather well. Everybody eated. Everybody was happy about what they eated. My pumpkin cheesecake came out really well. Although, when and if I make it again, I think I'll add a little more cream cheese because it sort of tasted like pumpkin pie with a little bit of cheesecake in it rather than cheesecake with pumpkin in it...still yummy though.
Brother Adam, Esq. is here until Sunday (much to everyone's shock and pleasure), so I got to go with him to visit the G-Parents. Two visits in one week, how am I going to top that one? I think, perhaps to be economical as well as to add a bit of luncheon variety, the next time Poppa G and I hop on down there for lunch that I might make something and bring it with us. Now I've just got to find something that will travel well and possibly doesn't require heating and that Gramps can chew easily (he just can't get used to his dentures even though he's had them for a few years now). But I digress.
Apparently, for Christmas dinner, we're having prime rib and baked stuffed shrimp as a major departure from (more) turkey or ham. Everyone seems to be thrilled by this prospect. We'll eat like kings! Damn hell ass kings!
For some odd reason there is nothing I want more right now than some cooked baby carrots with a wee bit o' butter melted upon them. This, along with being weird, will not be happening any time soon. We have baby carrots, I don't know if Momma D cooked them or if they're still raw. If so, my craving will have to wait until lunchtime to be satisfied. I don't know why I should be craving carrots at 2:30 in the morning. Perhaps my eyes are trying to tell me something. I am overdue for a checkup with the eye doctor. Hmmmm.
