I woke up to a phone call from my dad today.  My dog, Ela, developed a severe limp overnight.  She has been in a medical wasteland of problems since January at least, and my family is pretty sure she had a stroke.  My dad is taking her to the vet now.  I'm about 90% certain she is going to be put down in the next few hours

That's terrible, and I'm so sorry. Companion animals are so important, I'm sorry to hear that yours isn't doing well.
