Tomorrow starts my last two weeks here in Finland. In fact, if I fast forward my life right now with two weeks and a day (and never mind the time difference), I have just about landed in Kansas. Oh sweet Lord don't let my suitcase be too heavy! It feels so much different now that it felt three years ago - I really have no time to think about leaving, since I'm working almost all the time. I have eight days left as I have today and Sunday off, and next week is going to be a killer. But never mind, it means money. And money means I don't have to worry about spending half a year in the States. So, so far so good; maybe this time I won't have to come back home after the first month...

As for my few days off, I get nothing done. Today I'll be spending the rest of the evening with my friends, and on Sunday I'm going to my best friend's brother's confirmation party. Talking about clothing crises, I have nothing to wear for that. I'll just try and hide away from all their relatives... Not that I expect to raise a lot of attention, but I hate to raise attention in the wrong way!

I have also discovered an embarrassing interest in chick lit lately. It reads quickly - and they barely require too much processing of what I have just read. What a difference to this Spring and the one billion literature exams! I'd get worried of myself if it wasn't for the fact that I am too busy to read anything else at the moment, and this is the only way to keep on reading. At least it's something.

days off, books, exchange, work
