2005 ... so futuristic sounding, but where my flying cars and robot servants at?

Holidays rock. A bustle of activities have occured since my last post. Some examples:

- saw a kick-ass pair of Diesel jeans on sale which had - to me - the unrealistic proportions of a 29 waist and a 34 inseam, now I'm actually contemplating getting them despite needing to get them hemmed about 3 feet
- met 4 separate sets of out-of-town friends/acquaintances on one long late afternoon/evening, a feat I was only able to accomplish through assigning blocks of time with O.C.D.-like precision
- made a half-hearted attempt at Boxing Day shopping, and didn't even start until 2pm because a) slept in, and b) didn't want to be caught on the news and be labelled a "Doorcrasher"
- had several fruitless gym visits due to their silly holiday hours. Honestly, why even bother opening if you're going to close at 4pm?!
- spent a tremendous amount of time with an ex, and attempted to support his interest in World Poker Tournament, which didn't at all look enjoyable or resemble any form of poker I've ever actually played
- had fun times at Blaine's new year's bash ... for a change, and only I say that because several past new year's eves have involved herding my friends from location to location in a mad race against midnight. SO stressful. But I'm definitely amenable to fun times
- tried to catch some of the Rams/Jets game, but got tired of it since my Jason Sehorn's noticably gone. Where's my Jason Sehorn at these days?

and, among other things,

- responded to a reasonable request from a freaked out Blaine and Lisa, who were exemplary of a classic case of emotional highjacking over an M.I.A. Dale, and justifiably so. Oh Dale, don't scare them again like that
