It's Saturday afternoon, but I'm online...
..because I didn't have time to go online this morning! And I can't let this day pass without posting, because it's themorningstarr's birthday!

In other news, I am pleased to announce that I have both my recs for my McGill application in my possession. I believe the package can go out this week.
My Brandeis package will have to wait for whether my other two recs will be in hard copy format or online :-/ I hope to get another soon, it's the third I have to stress over. Both are coming from supervisors and I know how busy they are although I did put in my request almost a month ago...
So, I had to go to Ateneo for that today, and stayed until the afternoon to watch a tuneup game. (I keep getting lost in the School of Management area - those buildings weren't around during my time so it's hard finding my way through them to get to the walkway going to the McDonald's across the street!) The game was fun, and not just because the boys clobbered their opponents. It's been months since I've watched a game with friends - i.e., people around whom I am comfortable, and not random people I don't know who just turn up at the parties or whatever - and quite a few of the "regulars" turned up earlier :) I stayed a while after the game to hang out and talk basketball, and now here I am with a good bit of my afternoon still waiting to be spent.
I think I'm going to devote the rest of this day to crafty stuff and enjoying my new books, which I got at the National Bookstore near the McDonald's across the street from Ateneo. (One of them is a book about learning to knit! ^_^) I know I have grad school stuff to do, but my head kind of hurts. I did a lot of walking out in the sun today.
