Smashing the 20K barrier

Posting earlier in the day than usual, because I'm about to take a nap. After that, I absolutely must begin working on my algorithms pset.
Things of note today:
1. My intern manager from summer might be able to offer me a job! In this craptacular economy, I'm appreciative.
2. I broke 20,000 words!
3. I wasted an hour making my Ubuntu desktop look pretty. I still need to finish editing my Conky config, to get system stats and other cool stuff to display, but I'm still happy with my efforts. Currently, it looks like this:

5. I was touched that my high school friends still remember what NaNoWriMo is. When I said a few days ago that I was at 7K, they were like, "Oh, you're doing that nano thing again?" It probably just means I talked about it way too much back then, but still. :)
