Right, dudes, so, the H50 finale. I couldn't watch it last night--my cable went out because my life is terrible--so I watched it today on my lunch break. And, honestly, I think my reactions would be different if I'd watched it in real-time, or if I hadn't had 4 hours sitting around filing to think about it, but! As it happens, it went down like it

Most Badass of the Hufflepuffs

This is so going on an icon as soon as I have enough time to make it.

My theory on Logical Thought #3 is that last week's episode was originally supposed to air earlier in the season so the "a little while" does refer to "being in a good place" and then several weeks later we get the confirmation that Rachel and Danny are sleeping together and that she is pregnant. H50 time cannot be that far off from realtime. They've referenced "last week we did X" several times, as I recall. This is not to say it's not possible, just that I think this was a writing order/production order/airing order thing that got FUBARed.

Also, agreed on #2 that Danny is not going back to Jersey. At least not for more than about a week.

That theory makes much much sense; I am in support, because to be honest I think that there are probably a number of things that would make more sense if you switch the episode order up a little bit. Although they're probably little things, because again, this show needs to be able to make sense to viewers who aren't tuning in serially, or are picking up because they're heard good things or whatever.

IT CAN'T BE HAWAII 5-0 WITHOUT DANNO. THAT DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE AT ALL. Like, really...although I will admit that I'd find it hilarious to watch them scramble to make another "Danno" make sense :D

Well, none of these options are even the least bit attractive because Kono would track him back to jersey, hogtie him and drag him back to Hawaii in her backpack while Chin distracts HPD to let her.

See, as much as Danny might or might not want to go back to Jersey (struggles to breath momentarily and then gets dosed with Denial), he's not going to leave when this major disaster has just happened to his friends. They gave him a family when he didn't have one, when Rachel was trying to take it all away. That's going to mean something to someone like Danny. And when it all comes out that Rachel isn't pregnant or it's not Danny's baby or Wo Fat threatened her/Stan/Gracie/whatever, this is who Danny is going to go to lean on. It wouldn't surprise me if Rachel moves back to England because Danny didn't get onto the plane. And then what the hell is Danny going to do?
