Posting from Williamstown.

Just a year ago, when we went to the EKU at Bellows Falls, we said to ourselves, "This is only about an hour from Williamstown. If we ever come here again, we ought to stay there for the weekend, and daytrip to the event." So they're having another EKU at the same place, at the same time of year, so this time we tried it. It's more like an hour anna half from Wmst (I just can't go that much faster over the mountains), and then an hour anna half back at the end of the day, plus if we're coming for the whole weekend then we have to bring B, and so bring the dog and the parakeet too, and it all becomes a big magilla. Of course I love being Back Home and seeing my mother, and helping her summerize the porch is morally good, but as a way of making the trip to the event pleasanter, eh, not so much.

EKU qua event: they had more people this time (60-70, vs. barely 50 last year); another such increase in another year (I have no idea if they have any such plans), and the site would start to feel a bit cramped, at least for the more-attended classes. The classes offered were less interesting for such as me, even less so for D who was pretty bored and moping by the end. But they're still a nice bunch of people out there.

Must now rouse D from the Sleep of the Teenager, allow him some breakfast, and start hauling the storm doors to the cellar and the screen doors up to the porch. Then hang blinds. Then whatever the other thing is mater has hinted at. Then home while it's still daylight, if possible.
