This is what Andrea, director of First Light Farm Equine Shelter (who rescued Treasure), told me when I went sobbing to her:

"The chances of her going to slaughter are pretty slim. Because the CHW people work so hard to make sure that doesn't happen. You will probably not find anyone to donate shipping, some people may donate bail, but not shipping. Yes they do post as soon as they are made aware if the horse is sold. If you buy a horse and can't pick it up, Camelot will board for $20 a day. You cannot solicit $$ on the CHW page, but you can look to see if anyone has offered bail... If she does not get scooped up by someone today, she will be safe over the weekend. They will try again Monday morning. Keep watching, those ladies work very hard to make sure the horses don't ship."

As of now she's still listed as "available." I'm going to try posting on the equestrian comm, although probably everyone already watches the Camelot Auction.

And awwwww, thank you for having such an open heart (and pasture gate). I really wish I could be the one scooping her up.
