Sleepy-time!
So today I decided to do a variation of the 'sleep eye' modification that so many do to their Pullip's eyes so the lids stay completely shut when you push the buttons. I did not want Shizuka's eyes to be entirely closed, but wanted to be able to get a sort of groggy look if I closed the lids. So, I set about taking her head apart and figuring out how much I'd have to cut away from her blink pegs.
Shizuka was slightly worried about her head being separated from her body - as you can see:
But all is well. I didn't lose any screws or springs. I didn't drop her face. I even got the exact groggy look I was going for! All of that surgery was rather tiring for Shizuka:
