I wrote this story for my Creative Writing class this semester. Please read it, offer any suggestions. I'm having a bit of trouble with the very end. I like the abrupt ending, and want to convey a sense of "this horrible thing happened, but the world continues on, and doesn't care", but am having trouble expressing it. Help?
