A Lucylicious Day

Dec 17, 2007 06:57

Today was a mini Byotch day! We met up at Beth's and had a glorious day! We even went to the yarn store where I found the right needles for my caplet! AND some more yarn for another caplet...or some thing fab... And we went to a junk store where I found some religious icons for my shrine! I am really getting some good stuff! Looking forward to making my shrine.

Lucy made her chicken and rice dish, and Beth had a Mexican salad, coffee and breakfast goodies for us! It was delightful to just sit and be with Lucy. I kept staring at her...she is starting to really look different already...I was not prepared for that...she has only had 3 chemo treatments. I am so upset. But I was SO happy to see her.

We worked on a Trinket Tree! It will take a lot more work but we got a good start on it! I brought all the wrong stuff for the tree, I had no idea what we were doing. But they shared their stash with me...or mine would have been bare.

Lucy showed me how to JOIN my knitted item! So I can really start my caplet now! AND try a hat! I am SO excited! I am now working on the caplet! Whoo Hoo! And it is tough with this yarn but it is FAB! I am not seeing the seed stitch coming up...but maybe it is because I don't know how it would look on this...

Our day went by too fast! I miss them already! I was able to finally give Lucy her crown that I had commissioned! She LOVED it! I love it! She looks so damn cute in it!

The thing that I noticed immediately was the change in Lucy...she has lost 15 pounds and the doctor asked her not to loose anymore...I hope that is possible! You can see the drastic difference already! She is still beautiful!
