My German class is taught by an actual German now, not an American. It is different. I miss Herr Braun, he was cool. I feel that this German class will be more work. My American History class is taught by a women, and I have never had a history class taught by a woman before (unless you count middle school which I don't). It should be interesting. I hope it goes well. There is this one chick who sits in front of me who says the most obvious things. The question asked by the teacher was "The Americans took the Indians children and sent them to missionary taught boarding schools where they were White people-ized. How did the Natives feel about that?" And the girl was like "they were really upset, like all the old ones didn't like it done that way, they hated it."
My Public Speaking class will be fun since I like to write speeches and I am ok at giving them. My Music Appreciation class is awesoem. I love the teahcer; his musical tastes are close to my own. He was all Ashlee Simpson sucks blahblah. It was cool. I have 2 new friends 1 in each of those classes. One went to the school of Math and Science and knows my cuz Daniel. It is a small world eh? In my English class, the teacher really reminds me of someone but I don't know whom. She kind of reminds me of Sarah, yes you Sarah. I dunno why. But that looks to be an ok class as long as I keep up with everything.
I decided to do the thing whoknowswhynot is doing and keep track of all the books I read. He is trying to read 100 books, but I am pretty sure I read at least a hundred books a year, so I am gonna read the normal amount of books. But I will post them as I finish. The starred ones will be the ones I have never read before. Since I don't read Graphic novels or listen to books on tape or CD the only abbr I have is B, B stands for Book. Simple. I think this is right because I can't remember clearly what bok I was reading over New Year's, but so far
B01--The Outstretched Shadow by Mercedes Lackey and James Mallory
B02*--To light A Candle by Mercedes Lackey and James Mallory
B03*--Storm Warning by Mercedes Lackey
So yeah. I will probably read less now that I am in college and have a job and stuff. But my goal this year as far as reading is to read all the Mercedes Lackey books, to read King's Dark Tower series, to read all the unread books on my shelves, and to read the most current two series of Terry Brooks. And That is all.
