Eight ways to win my heart
1) Make me feel wanted. This is different from loved, or liked .. and in Nifer's world, a step above them.
2) Don't be afraid of me. I can't tell you how many people have told me "you intimidate me". I'm blunt, straightforward, and am not afraid to share my opinions. I expect nothing less from everyone around me. Apparently there aren't a lot of people who are able to deal with that kind of personality.
3) Remember the little things. Whether it's a scent I complimented you in .. the texture of sheets I like on your bed .. a flower I like .. the movie theater I prefer going to .. or any one of a number of things I might mention in passing - the fact that you took note and remembered something that I liked, or preferred, tells me you like me enough to pay attention.
4) Let me do something nice for you. While I enjoy being pampered .. I also enjoy doing the pampering. Nothing annoys me more than someone who either won't let me do nice things for them, or is so uncomfortable with me doing something for them that it takes the fun out of it.
5) Be comfortable and confident in your skin. Don't try to be like someone else .. be you. Be unapologetically you.
6) Be a social person. I am a highly social person - I enjoy the company of others. I enjoy doing things outside of the house and sharing those experiences with the person I am with. It sucks the fun out of an event when I feel like I have to constantly check up on you to make sure you are having a good time .. or you hide in a corner and avoid everyone else, or your body language is shouting to everyone in the room you want to be anywhere but where you are.
7) Enjoy a variety of different activities - and on that note - be open to new experiences. Whether it's me dragging you to something you've never done - or you showing me a good time doing something I never thought I'd be doing - variety is fun. I don't like being stuck in ruts doing the same old same old all the time. Explore the world and find the fun in it.
8) Know your etiquette. Every woman wants to be treated like she's something special. Be able to dust off your "gentlemanly manners" and treat a lady like a lady. You might be a jeans and t-shirt kind of guy - but you don't have to be in a suit to be a gentleman. Likewise, nice cloths do not automatically give you bonus points. If you're behaving like a hick in a suit - guess what? You're a hick in a suit and that's less than impressive.
