First of all I did look through the tags and while I didn't find anything on this particular question I did find some useful advice on ankle injuries, for which I'm grateful.
Now my rather odd question:
This is a question mostly for any fitness or sports trainer who's willing to answer it, but anyone who knows their sports might be able to help. I'm a middle-aged woman who has torn up my left leg a number of times (almost always my left, how annoying). I intend to get a tattoo showing the leg bones (fibula is displaced and tibia has been fixed) in order to show any future trainers what my limitations are and aren't. I got into sports at forty but I've learned the hard way that pushing too hard gets me injured, laid-up, and worse off than before.
Over the years I've injured/sprained/torn the ACL, the posterior tibialis, and the ankle joint a couple of times. I'm also quite overweight, which makes me very mindful of ankle capacity.
So my question is this: what information would you as a trainer want on that tattoo? Right now it's an ex-ray stylized as a pair of bamboo stalks. What else would you put there?
----edit---- Thanks for the replies--an important distinction was made. A trainer gets the full rundown on medical history. What about an adventure tour guide? Someone who's helping you decide how much travel fun you can handle? Would it be useful in that case?
