a reason to start over new...

God I really let myself go with that Achilles injury. I mean okay, yes it prevented me from working out for 2 months but Jesus! I gained like 15 pounds in those two months. What the heck was I thinking? Or should I say what the hell was I eating? No I have to make this year's focus all about losing weight again, darn-it!! I hate the fluctuations. Am I going to be battling my weight forever?? Ugh! So frustrating.

At least I burned 647 calories this morning doing a very moderated version of Jillian Michael's 30 day shred. I figured I'd do all 3 levels of the workouts minus the warm up and cool down for levels 2 and 3. I also did all 3 at the beginner's level with Anita (the moderator on the DVD). From that I gather that I will do 3 weeks (one of each level) in beginner status, followed by another 3 weeks (one of each level) in intermediate or advanced. So a total of 6 weeks on the 30 day shred program. I will be officially starting tomorrow, Sunday December 6, 2009 and hopefully a successful finish on Saturday January 16, 2010. After this I want to either do 2 weeks of Slim in 6 (January 17 - 30). Then it's on to Power 90 Extreme for the next 13 weeks (March 1 - May 29). From there I will do the ChaLEAN Extreme for the next 12 weeks or Shaun T's Insanity!
