Push Phase (day 1) - CLX Day 29

Ah, today was the first day of the Push phase and my goodness it was tough! I think I was crying out in pain (the good kind) the whole way through. Holy crap that tiny blonde (Chalene; the instructor) means business! I love it! I held 25 lbs for the standard squat so I'm starting off big because as Chalene would say "go BIG or go HOME!" So I'm going BIG! Though I did get a bit ahead of myself with the single arm bent-over tricep extension. I think I was a little too ambitious with my 17.5 lbs when Chalene was only doing 15. I tried to outdo her, big mistake. Lol. She's tough so if she says 15 lbs next time I'm listening. My elbow almost popped out of its sockets by the time I reached the 8th rep. Next Sunday I'll go with the 15 lbs. The single-leg squat is a KILLLER! Holy canoli! I did 25 lbs again and that was perfect, my legs were shaking! I don't want to forget to mention that instead of the 12 reps for each workout as we did in the Burn phase, we are now doing 8 reps (Push phase style) but with heavier weights. I like her philosophy and I hope it works.

Now I must go and eat I am famished!
