This journal will be used to track the progress of my journey to becoming a healthier more physically fit individual. This is my fourth and final attempt to lose all the weight I've needed and wanted to lose since the scale read 160lbs at the doctor's office in 2005. I started out strong in December of 2005 and I lost 15 pounds (between then and February 2006). Then I hit a plateau at 145lbs, got discouraged and fell of the wagon. Then I got back on and fell off again, fluctuating between 145 - 148lbs.
I managed to keep it the weight off for a couple of years by exercising here and there but never really forming good permanent healthy habits. So no surprise when in January of 2010 the scale read that I was back in the 160's. Only this time I was 162lbs (that's 2 MORE pounds than the last time I started my weight loss journey!) It is so frustrating not to have ever reached the success story point and I'm very tired of this on and off battle against the bulge. This time I am so SERIOUS that it's been a battle learning better habits but I'm doing it. The best lesson I learned it to take things one day at a time and so I am. I've already lost 12lbs and I'm eager to get rid of the last 22lbs.
