Important announcement re: MidnightLore.net and the websites located on it

Hi everybody,

To some of you, part of this message will be old news. But I guarantee some of it will be new to you, as I only myself found out last night.

My RL has been rather overwhelming the past little over a year. My mother had a heart attack in October of 2008, in November my Grandmother (who raised me and whom I helped to take care of) fell and broke her tailbone while I was at the emergency room with my mom who was having chest pains again. Grandma started having mini-strokes while in the rehab hospital. We got her back home with us in December. Grandma passed away this last August, the week before my birthday. Losing her just about killed me and for awhile I wasn't interested in much.

Keeping up with my webspace has been the last thing on my mind. As things have been starting to brighten a little, my thoughts did finally turn back to my neglected websites. I know people had been trying to get onto HeadQuarters especially and were unable to access it.

I contacted my webhost last night and, due to her dilligence, found out some rather distressing news. Apparently, my domain name had expired (midnightlore always auto-renewed) and been bought by some Russian bastard. This is not to say all Russians are bastards. This is to say that the person who bought my domain name is in fact a thieving bastard who happens to be Russian. Not only did he buy my domain name, he copied ALL the content. That's why HeadQuarters would no longer work. It was pointing to a front page without any of the gears that made the program function behind it. There is apparently not a damn thing I can do about this as A they are in Russia and B there doesn't seem to be any way to contact their hosting company and complain, at least, about the theft of the content. Anyone who knows differently, please feel free to email me.

In the meantime, please take down ANY links to midnightlore.net. The only reason I can think of for purchasing and copying all the content on my site would be to fool people to going there and littering it with virus-y horrors.

So, moving on. I have purchased the domain name Midnightlore.COM and hope to get it up and running soon. I appreciate everyone's understanding and the support I've been given over this past horrible horrible year. I will let you all know when Midnightlore.COM is ready to launch.

Thanks again

Tricia (aka GylzGirl)

midnightlore, personal
