"I told you we're still early." Raiya told his best friend as they stood in front of the cinemas. "We should have stayed in the restaurant for a bit more. The previous show hasn't even ended yet."
"We can wait here." Riko insisted, a smile on her face. "I want to find good seats." She said excitedly, almost bouncing.
Raiya didn't even try to stifle his laughter. "What is it with girls and Disney princesses?"
"The plot it is interesting! And I fell in love with Elsa the first time I saw her." Riko said cheekily.
"Yeah, yeah. I've heard that a thousand times." Raiya said with a wave of hand, playfully rolling his eyes.
"So..." Raiya started, looking at Riko. "Are we just going to stand here for the next--" He looks at his watch. "Thirty-seven minutes?"
Riko mock-punched him, but didn't say anything. She just grabbed his hand and started pulling him towards the benches close to the snack bar.
"Okay..." Raiya said as they sat. "Now we only have about..." He exaggeratedly looked at his watch once more. "36 minutes before we can go in. Now what?"
"Why are you so impatient?" Riko asked exasperatedly. "You're excited about this movie, too, aren't you?" She asked suspiciously.
"I'm excited about the popcorn actually. And your reactions while watching. If only I can record a video inside..." He said teasingly.
Riko just sighed, used to her best friend's antics. "We can just talk while waiting." She said.
"About what?" Raiya asked, looking interested.
Riko shrugged. "I don't know. You pick."
"Hmmm." Raiya sounded. "How about we play a game instead?" He said, giving Riko a very boyish grin.
Riko laughed at his expression. "What? What game are you talking about?"
"Just a word game. We're just gonna talk, generally." He said.
"Shiritori?" Riko asked.
"Something like that. You say a random word and then I'll say the first word that I thought of in relation to that word. Then you do the same. Get it?"
"Okay." Riko said with a nod, actually quite intrigued.
"Ladies first." Raiya said.
"Frozen." Riko said with a grin.
"Why am I not surprise?" Raiya said with a chuckle. "Okay, Ice."
"Elsa." Riko said, grinning. Raiya rolled his eyes, but gave a grudging smile.
"Hair." He said. Riko raised a brow at him. He shrugged and said, "Well it's white."
Riko giggled. "That'll be my answer then. White."
"That's cheating." Raiya claimed, pinching Riko at her sides. Riko let out a squeak and slap Raiya's hand away. Raiya laughed out loud.
"Just continue the game!" Riko said in whispered exasperation, though she looks quite amuse.
After finally calming down, Raiya said, "Cloud."
"Cloud aren't always white." Riko pointed out.
"Well duh, but if i said 'snow' you'd go and make another reference about Frozen." Raiya said, looking a little smug, challenging Riko to say he's wrong.
She didn't, and only pursed her lips in mock-pout. "Fine." She said. "Hmmm. Then, 'sky.'"
"Rain..?" Raiya said hesitatingly. At Riko's look, he added with a laugh, "That's the last reference to weather."
Riko laughed. "Water." She said.
"Fish." Raiya said.
"Sea." Riko said.
"Chiba." Raiya said immediately. There was silence with just the two of them looking at each other and then after a bit, they simultaneously laughed. They went to a beach in Chiba last summer with their other friends, and let's just say there was a very interesting event involving Matsushima Sou, a cave, and a squid.
"Funny." Riko said with a giggle, continuing the game.
"Kei-niichan." Raiya said.
"Idol." Riko said.
"Niichan." Raiya said with a shrug.
Riko nodded, and then said, "Neechan." She was referring to their Suzuka-neechan and it was just what Raiya expected. You can't really think of one without thinking of the other.
"OhgoJima." Raiya said with a laugh.
Riko raised an eyebrow at that. "Is that a word?"
Raiya shrugged. "It's the first thing that came to mind."
Riko just nodded, letting it go. Then she smiled and continued their game. "If it's OhgoJima, then Love."
Raiya kept quiet for a moment, and Riko thought he must be thinking of a word. But then a smile slowly form from his lips and he said, "Riko."
"What?" Riko asked, thinking he was calling her.
"Love." Raiya said. "Riko."
Riko gaped, finally grasping what he was saying. She couldn't help but asked once more, though. "Love?"
"Love." Raiya said firmly.
Riko felt her face heating up, but nevertheless didn't look away from Raiya.
Raiya just looked at her, waiting. And then finally, she said with a smile.
"Raiya."
Raiya grinned, now looking embarrassed as he scratch the back of his head.
He took her hands in his, and Riko tried not to smile too much.
"Hey, I think we can get in the cinema now."
